The NeoBackup service is intended to clients with needs for remote backup data storage up to approximately 50 Go. The service is proposed to the final client through Neo Telecoms approved partners.

These approved partners are fully capable of inserting this service in their solutions and to assist you to implement or adapt it to your specific requirements.

The backup server on which the data are transferred is hosted in the Neo Telecoms datacenter. The clients' data are stored and encrypted on a disk rack and are, from then on, regularly saved on a saving Robot to ensure an optimal security and availability of the data.

The client manages himself its own backup savings and restorations: they are its sole and full responsibility.

All data is automatically encrypted and compressed prior to their transfer to the backup server : this warranties their confidentiality as well as an optimised use of the backup space acquired by the client (compression can reduce by 50% the volume of the original data).

On the client's side, NeoBackup is simply a module, called Ahsay Online Backup Manager, to be installed on the machine containing the data to be saved. This module is available for download on the Neo Telecoms backup server through a website presenting the service once the client has been activated and it has received a login and a password.

The client module can be installed under Windows 2000, XP and 2003, Solaris Sparc 2.6 to 2.9, Novell Netware 5.1 and above, Redhat Linux 6.x, 7.x or above.

For the Linux and Solaris system, the client has the choice of either downloading a "command line" version or an "X Windows" version.

The minimal configuration is as follows 128 Mo RAM, 30 Mo disk space, TCP/IP protocol and accurately configured Internet access.

The module is installed in the form of a service under Windows. The client then configures a set of files to be saved, the saving of which will be launched at fixed hours in accordance with its preferences. Launching an immediate backup saving is also possible upon selection of the concerned files.

Activation of plug-ins for certain versions of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and Notes is also possible.
